Oak log slice chandelier

Transform your home with one of our gorgeous log slice lights. Our chandeliers are perfect above a dining table or kitchen island, can add the “wow’ factor to an entrance way or staircase, and cast a soft warm glow over any living space. Using multiple bulbs gives you the practicality of fantastic light output and then when used with a dimmer, you can dial down the light level to give the perfect ambience in any space.

This charming chandelier is a lovely centrepiece for any home, the rustic and natural feel of real unique log slices matched with five bulb holders, it really is very lovely. This chandelier can be made with eco friendly and sustainable cork, or responsibly sourced oak slices. Extra lamp holders can be added for an additional cost, please message us for a quote.

Oak

The oak version weight depends on how many slices we use, but the pictured fixture weighed 16kg. The oak was 120cm long, 80cm wide and the oak was sealed with a Matt varnish.

Cork

This chandelier in cork weighs in at around 3kg's (exact eight depends on the amount of cable we use) and uses 5 cork wood slices, this gives you a light weight fixture with the rustic look of hard wood log slices.The cork chandelier pictured was 95cm long, 30cm deep and the oak slices were stained with Georgian Medium Oak stain and finished with matt varnish. We then used pale gold round fabric cable and Old English Brass components.

Colour Choices: Cables, Components and Timber finish:

You choose the exact piece of timber that we use for your fixture. We will send you photos and videos for your approval. We can stain the timber and have a range of stains available. If you would like to tone in with current furniture, please send us photos of your home (in daylight with no direct sun) so that we can choose the best match. We will then do colour tests on the top of your chosen timber and send you photographs and video for your approval. You also choose the cable colours - we have over 200 choices of Italian fabric covered cable, and component style and colour - from modern to traditional. We finalise all of these choices with you as part of the design process.

Maximum lengths included in the fixture price:

Up to 50cm from the top of the timber to the ceiling, and 50cm of cable drop below the fixture is included in the price.

50cm chain + 6cm timber depth + 50cm cable + bulb length = max drop

Should you need a longer drop, please get in touch for a custom quote. Additional chain is priced at £15 per m, and cable £6 per m.

Bulbs:

Bulbs are not included as they vary in price depending on the size, shape, and colour that you choose. We would be happy to try different bulbs in the finished fixture and send you photos before you make your final decision.

Lead time and shipping:

This design is made to measure, we will be in touch as soon as you place your order to work out the finer details such as cable and component colours. Our lead time varies depending how busy we are, if you have a time constraint, please check our current lead time on our client area page before placing your order.

From the client area you will see how many orders we have in progress and updates on lead times. When we receive your order, you will be added to the client queue, and you will be able to check back and see progress of your order.

If our lead time is too long and you are having work done now, or soon, consider adding our Advance Wiring Kit to your order. This allows your electrician or builder to install the electrical components and ceiling hooks in advance of the chandelier’s arrival. This in turn saves time and money when your fixture arrives - simply hang it up and plug it in!

Measurements:

We will need some measurements from you to design and make your fixture.

• Ceiling height
• Dimensions of the furniture below the fixture or tell us if it needs to clear head height.
• Height of the tallest person in the house.

We can then draw a scale plan for you to agree before we begin wiring your fixture.
