Welcome to the MooBoo Home Client Area
Thank you for choosing us to create something genuinely handmade for your home.
This page shows our complete production queue, not just one particular type of product. Each client reference represents a real order being designed, prepared, made, wired, tested or completed alongside yours.

We make orders in queue order
MooBoo Home is a very small, independent team. Every piece is made by hand in our Devon workshop rather than taken from a warehouse or passed through a production line.
As a general rule, we work through orders in the order in which they were confirmed. We cannot move one project forward simply because its client has asked for an update, as doing so would mean unfairly delaying another client who has already been waiting.
Your position on this page does not mean that nothing is happening. While one piece is being assembled, timber for another may be drying, components may be on order, metalwork may be with a specialist, or completed lighting may be undergoing wiring and safety testing.
Occasionally, projects may appear to progress in a different order because:
- timber needs additional drying or preparation;
- we are waiting for measurements, choices or approval from a client;
- specialist components, plating or metalwork are being produced;
- several similar pieces can be made efficiently together;
- a smaller or simpler order can sometimes be completed while another project is waiting for timber to dry, materials to arrive or specialist work to be finished;
- an agreed priority completion service was arranged and paid for at the point of order.
For example, a simple pendant light with no timber element may sometimes be completed more quickly around larger or more complex projects. This helps us use our available workshop time efficiently and does not mean that another order has been forgotten or unfairly delayed.
Lead times are estimates, not guaranteed completion dates
The estimated lead time provided when you ordered was based on our workload and circumstances at that time. It is a realistic guide, but handmade production can be affected by natural materials, component availability, specialist suppliers, illness and delays to earlier projects whihc can have a knock on effect.
A lead time is measured from the date your order and payment were confirmed. It is not a guaranteed delivery date.
If your order was required for an immovable deadline—such as a wedding, house move, installation schedule or booked electrician—we needed to be told before the order was placed so that we could confirm whether the date was achievable. Unfortunately, we cannot retrospectively turn an estimated lead time into a guaranteed deadline.
Please do not book an electrician or arrange other trades around an estimated date. Wait until we have contacted you to confirm that your order is approaching completion.
Bespoke Design Enquiries
Most clients currently in our production queue will already have experienced our hands-on approach to design and will understand how much time can go into discussing dimensions, materials, finishes, wiring, proportions and the overall look of a piece before an order is confirmed. We want to continue offering that same thoughtful service to every genuine new client. However, this year we have lost a significant number of working hours developing bespoke fixtures for enquiries that did not proceed. We have therefore introduced clearer design procedures and consultation fees for work beyond an initial conversation and the sharing of suitable existing products. This helps us protect the time already committed to current clients, while still allowing us to design properly for serious enquiries and maintain a healthy pipeline of future work for our small business.
Our current workshop capacity
Our workshop is currently operating on slightly reduced hours because of significant family caring responsibilities and production delays to projects earlier in the year. We are continuing to make and complete orders, but we are behind our original schedule.
Over the past three months, we have deliberately reduced the number of new orders we accept so that we can concentrate on completing our existing commitments and bringing the production queue back within our usual timescales. As a result, we expect our lead times to shorten as we work through the current outstanding orders.
We completely understand that waiting can be frustrating, and we sincerely apologise if your order has taken longer than originally estimated. We are doing everything reasonably possible to catch up, but we cannot create more working hours, rush the making or electrical process, compromise our quality and safety standards, or continually interrupt production to provide individual progress explanations. Thank you for your patience while we give every order the care and attention it deserves.
For that reason, this page is the best place to check your current position and progress. We will contact you directly when:
- we begin the active stage of your order;
- we need measurements, choices or approval;
- we have a meaningful update to share; or
- your order is ready for dispatch or collection.
You do not need to contact us simply because your order has not yet moved on the list.
Why handmade takes time
Made-to-order furniture and interiors commonly involve lead times of several months. What we create is not an off-the-shelf product with a handmade-style finish—it is genuinely made for you.
Your piece may involve selecting and preparing individual timber, designing the layout, drying or stabilising natural materials, sanding and finishing, drilling, assembling, wiring, testing and completing final quality checks.
Natural timber cannot always be hurried, and electrical work must never be rushed.
The benefit is that your finished piece will not be identical to something owned by thousands of other people. It will have been individually considered, made and finished for your space by the people whose names are behind the business.
We remain enormously grateful for your patience, your order and your support of British craftsmanship.
Understanding the Order List
We have simplified the information on this page by replacing the previous icons with brief written updates, making it easier to understand the current status of each order.
Once active work begins on your project, we will contact you directly and keep you informed as it progresses.
In the queue: Your order is confirmed and waiting behind the projects placed before it.
Preparation underway: Timber, components, drawings or specialist work are being prepared.
In production: Active making or assembly has begun.
Wiring and testing: Electrical work, safety testing and final quality checks are underway.
Client information required: We need a decision, measurement, payment or approval before work can continue.
On hold: The order has been paused at the client’s request or while we wait for information, materials or specialist components.
Complete: Your order is ready to dispatch or collect.
Current estimated lead time
Our current estimated lead time for made-to-order lighting and furniture is 4 - 6 months from confirmation of the order.
This estimate applies to all orders and may differ from the estimate given to existing clients when they ordered.
Have more questions? Most can be answered on our FAQ's page, but please do get in touch with any other queries.
This section has been redesigned to show all current client orders together in one complete production list, arranged broadly in queue order rather than separated by product type. ***Some work is undertaken out of order, this may be because it makes sense to bulk work on certain types of timber, or because its a smaller job and we are fitting it in around other larger pieces whilst we wait for stain or varnish to dry or glue to set.
