Your chosen artwork is hand-inked directly onto the timber by Andy, making every lamp completely unique.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eGayathri’s lamp, pictured here, was created for her 18th birthday. We can let you know what we think will work well on the oak and help you develop the idea.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eOnce your order has been placed, \u003cstrong\u003ewe’ll contact you personally with a few design questions\u003c\/strong\u003e. This is where you can tell us about the person the lamp is for, the artwork or imagery you’d like to include, names, dates, words, quotes or anything else that has meaning.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eWe’ll then use your ideas to create a \u003cstrong\u003emock-up of your lamp for you to approve\u003c\/strong\u003e. Nothing is permanently hand-inked onto your piece of Plymouth oak until you’re happy with the design.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eBecause we work directly onto natural oak, the artwork is created in \u003cstrong\u003emonochrome\u003c\/strong\u003e, giving a beautiful contrast against the grain and character of the timber.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eThe exact height of your lamp can also be determined as part of this design process. Each piece is approximately \u003cstrong\u003e10cm × 10cm\u003c\/strong\u003e, with a maximum height of \u003cstrong\u003e20cm\u003c\/strong\u003e, but we may suggest a shorter piece if it works better with the proportions of your chosen artwork.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003eOnce you’ve approved everything, Andy will hand-ink the final design directly onto the oak before it is sealed, finished and assembled into your lamp.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"auto\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eNot sure about your design yet? Your lamp comes with \u003cstrong\u003e1.75 metres of cable as standard\u003c\/strong\u003e.
